Underground gas rough-ins are one of those phases of a job where there's zero room for shortcuts. If something is off - a loose fitting, a bad connection, an improper burial - you won't know it until it becomes a serious problem. That's exactly why we pressure test every line before moving forward.

On this LP gas rough-in, we ran the underground line, brought it up with a brass ball valve and proper fittings, wrapped the stub with gas line tape, and hit it with a 15 PSI pressure test. The gauge held steady. That's what a passing test looks like - no drop, no question marks, just a clean result documented and ready for inspection.

The label taped to the stub isn't just for us. It tells the next contractor, the inspector, or anyone else on site exactly what they're looking at - the test pressure, the gas type, and the date it was tested. That kind of documentation matters on a job site. It keeps things moving and keeps everyone on the same page.

We also set a recessed ground box at the service point, marked and protected with caution tape so nothing gets damaged before the next phase kicks off. The whole rough-in is staged correctly so the job can continue without backtracking.

Whether it's a new residential build or a commercial property, getting the gas rough-in done right the first time saves everyone headaches down the road. We handle LP gas line installation from the ground up - installed properly, tested thoroughly, and documented before we walk away.
