Most homeowners don't think about their backflow preventer until something goes wrong - or until an inspector flags it. That's exactly the situation we ran into here. The old unit on the main potable line was corroded, well past its useful life, and no longer up to current building code. It had to go.

We pulled the old assembly out and replaced it with a 1" Zurn Wilkins 975XL backflow preventer. This is a reduced pressure zone device - one of the most reliable options on the market for protecting your potable water supply. It works by maintaining a pressure differential that physically prevents contaminated water from flowing back into your clean water line. No shortcuts, no workarounds.

The copper pipe work you see is part of what makes this installation last. We didn't just swap out the device and call it a day. Everything was rebuilt properly - the pipe stands, the connections, all of it brought up to code. That means it'll hold up and it'll pass inspection. That's the standard we hold ourselves to on every job.

Backflow protection isn't optional - it's required, and for good reason. When a backflow device fails or is missing entirely, there's a real risk of contaminants entering your home's water supply. Getting it replaced with the right equipment, installed correctly, is one of those things you just don't want to cut corners on.

Whether you're dealing with a failed device, a code violation notice, or you're not even sure what's currently installed on your line, we can help. This kind of work is what we do, and we do it right.
